JOB TITLE: Senior Manager, Claims Indemnity, Analysis and Planning

LOCATION: Leeds

HOURS: Full time

WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time, at one of our office sites

About this opportunity

We’re looking for a Senior Manager to join the General Insurance Chief Underwriting Team at Lloyds Banking Group. In this role, you’ll apply your leadership and knowledge to ensure the best decisions are made across our Household claims function to optimize our spending and make the best decisions for our customers. You’ll also lead teams supporting commercial analyses and planning.

This is a unique opportunity to put your stamp on a key part of the General Insurance business in a fast-evolving landscape.

What you’ll be doing…

  • You’ll be leading a large, muti-site team to monitor and control claims indemnity spend, help set the corporate plan for key elements of the P&L and support the GI business on key commercial analyses.

  • You’ll be responsible for shaping the use of AI and other models to help us best meet the needs of our customers.

  • You’ll be responsible for meeting key business objectives related to claims indemnity spend.

  • You’ll be responsible for setting team objectives and ensuring the right projects are being worked on according to evolving business needs.

  • You’ll be setting longer term objectives and taking responsibility for team health and engagement.

What you’ll need…

  • Strong background in personal lines general insurance, ideally with exposure to technical underwriting, actuarial, claims and business performance management.

  • Leadership skills and ability to understand and inspire change.

  • Experience managing cross-functional and cross-site projects and navigating complex governance environments.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a collaborative and proactive approach.

  • Highly numerate with strong analytical skills.
