Salary: £47,790 - £53,100

Hours: Full time

Working Pattern: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of your time, at our Edinburgh office.

We're excited to offer an opportunity for a Portfolio Analyst to join our Investment Office within Insurance, Pensions, and Investment (IP&I).

This is an exciting opportunity to work closely with asset managers, investment change and operations teams to ensure investment decisions are implemented seamlessly and optimally. You’ll play a key role in improving operational efficiency, maintaining compliance and delivering high-quality outcomes for our clients.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Co-ordinate and be responsible for the implementation of portfolio changes across multiple asset classes and client mandates
  • Translate investment decisions into executable trades in collaboration with internal stakeholders
  • Monitor trade activity to ensure compliance with investment guidelines and objectives
  • Analyse transaction costs, execution quality and operational efficiency to support continuous improvement
  • Support the delivery of governance papers and performance analysis with clear stakeholder communication
  • Contribute to the automation of portfolio management processes and proactively identify and mitigate risks

What you’ll need:

  • A strong understanding of financial instruments and global markets
  • Experience in multi-asset investment or portfolio implementation
  • Experience in collaborating to deliver tangible outcomes through various stakeholders in fast paced environment and navigating complex relationships.
  • A proactive and curious mentality, with the ability to run multiple priorities and action orientated.
  • High attention to detail, highly organised and problem-solving skills.
