About this opportunity

The Workday/PRISM Data Engineer will collaborate with Data Partners and colleagues across the Data Hub to design, develop, integrate and test Data Product features on the product roadmaps to meet customer needs.

What you'll be doing

  • Building data pipelines and products by extracting, transforming, and analyzing data from internal and external sources, primarily using Workday reporting and Prism functionality.

  • Highlights shortcomings and suggests improvements in current processes, systems and procedures within assigned unit and/or subject area.

  • Defines, delivers, and adapts specialized products/services to meet customer needs by selecting the best possible approaches available within established systems.

  • Delivers own small-scale or medium-scale projects by working within an established programme management plan.

  • Identifies and evaluates complex expertise-led solutions against a range of criteria to find the ones that best meet business needs.

  • Develops and/or delivers a plan for a specific area of responsibility by leading others.

  • Manages the development and/or operation of knowledge management system with guidance from senior colleagues.

  • Coordinates across multiple teams to develop medium-term and/or long-term work schedules that help the organisation achieve its priorities and fulfil its business plans.

  • Analyses key themes using data from a wide range of sources and identifies possible impacts on the business.

  • Takes responsibility for implementing a team's formal development framework with guidance from senior colleagues, while informally coaching others throughout the organisation in area of expertise and pursuing and investing in opportunities for own personal development.

  • Identifies shortcomings, then suggests and implements improvements to existing business practices, while developing and delivering projects or a workstream within the organisation's change management programme with guidance from senior colleagues.

  • Uncovers emerging issues and/or needs and identifies potential causes, related issues, key stakeholders and barriers.

  • Recommends ways to improve support for operations by changing policies, processes, standards and practices.

What you’ll need

  • Workday Reporting Experience

  • Workday Prism experience

  • SQL coding experience

  • Proactively build and maintain customer relationships, to meet current and future business needs

  • Demonstrate Strong analytical / analysis capabilities

  • Maintain high levels of process and system knowledge
