Lancashire funeral home relocates and drives growth

Kavanagh and Coates was established in 2003 by owners Anthony Kavanagh and Frank Coates and has grown steadily over the past ten years as an independent funeral service provider. The pair decided to relocate to a new location in order to improve the experience for those using the services as well as to extend the firm’s capacity. The new site includes a new reception area, viewing chapels, a preparation room and offices, as well as on-site garaging for funeral vehicles.

Kavanagh and Coates Funeral Services is a great example of how a well-run business offering a quality service can thrive and expand in what is a very competitive and well-established marketplace.

Vital service at a sensitive time

After outgrowing the firm’s existing premises, the pair decided to relocate to new premises, but required additional support to help fund the move.

We have worked long and hard to ensure that the people of Heywood are given the best possible service and it is wholly due to them that we are where we are today. The new building will be a huge boost for the business, enabling it to offer an increased range of services on site and this new expansion is a real investment in our long term commitment to Heywood.

Generation to Generation

Lloyds Bank Commercial Banking’s specialist Healthcare Banking team provided the funds to purchase and renovate the new premises under the Government-backed Funding for Lending Scheme (FLS), through which customers across all sectors receive a one per cent discount on all new loans.

Our relationship manager at Lloyds Bank Commercial Banking has shown complete confidence in us from day one back in 2003, and has been instrumental in helping us to complete this latest expansion – this has been fundamental to our growth over the years.

Anthony Kavanagh
