JOB TITLE: Workplace technology Engineering Lead

SALARY: £90,400- £106,400

LOCATION: Leeds

HOURS: Full-time

WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time, at our Leeds office, attending on the Platform anchor day with flexibility around the other office day(s)

We're seeking a dynamic and experienced Workplace Technology Engineering Manager to lead a team of engineers in designing, implementing, and maintaining our in-office technology across Lloyds Banking Group. This role is crucial in driving technical excellence and innovation. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for driving innovation in collaboration technologies including Audio Visual & Event space technology.

What you’ll be doing…

  • Technology Expertise: Responsibility for Audio Visual Technology including meeting rooms, townhall spaces, broadcasting, and digital signage.

  • Innovation: Drive innovation by exploring new technologies and methodologies to improve colleague experience, efficiency and effectiveness.  Foster a culture of innovation to ensure we deliver high quality Services, maximise value of our investments and use technology to solve problems in new ways. 

  • Team Leadership: Manage, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of collaboration engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement

  • Performance Monitoring: Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the effectiveness of collaboration solutions and identify areas for improvement

  • Application Management: Manage technology budgets, resources and allocating them efficiently across products and services.  Take ownership and accountability for delivery, operations risk management and total cost of services

  • Product Management: Work with the Lab Product Owner to provide effective leadership and management of the team. Specifically, this requires setting the vision, mobilisation of the teams required to deliver it and ensuring effective delivery execution.

  • Strategy: Create and maintain Future Workplace Technology Roadmaps

  • Your Development: Have the opportunity to participate in a number of career development activities, become aligned to some great Mentors within the business and access a huge array of learning and development to build your skills and career.

What you’ll need…

  • Strong knowledge of Audio Visual Technologies & AV vendors such as Poly, Microsoft Teams, Cisco, Crestron, Extron etc

  • Broad knowledge of Modern Workplace technologies including M365, Unified Communications (Cisco & Microsoft), and Networks.

  • Ability to provide roadmaps, product overviews, reports, backlog, and documentation for enterprise technology solutions.

  • Understanding of budget preparation, financial analysis, procurement, and project management.

  • Knowledge of technology standards, industry trends, and emerging technologies.

  • Broad knowledge of building management, space management, wayfinding & digital signage technologies

  • Creative and methodical thinking regarding technical design and space challenges.

  • Self-motivated and accountable in a fast-paced, independent environment.

  • Ability to create and maintain detailed documentation, system designs, and visualisations.

  • Familiarity with remote management/monitoring solutions is advantageous.

  • Up-to-date knowledge of relevant industry standard hardware and client proprietary tools.

  • Practical experience within an Agile change delivery construct, ideally having used JIRA/JIRA Align previously being comfortable leading the team within a SCRUM / Kanban model; always seeking to improve our skills and our product
