Working Pattern: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of your time, at our Edinburgh office.

About this opportunity:

We have an exciting opportunity to join our Insurance, Pensions and Investments (IP&I) as Strategic Projects Manager for the CCDO area.

This role reports to our Head of Strategic Projects and is all about how we lead on and coordinate projects related to the transformation to become a customer centric organisation.

In this role, you’ll be responsible for managing and driving high-impact projects that align with the organisation's strategic goal of becoming a customer centric organisation and support our ambition of digitally transforming IP&I. This role involves leading cross-functional project teams across CCDO and the rest of IP&I business areas, ensuring project objectives are met, and delivering value to the business.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Project Leadership: Drive end-to-end delivery of strategic projects, ensuring alignment with scope, timelines, and budget.
  • Strategic Alignment: Develop project plans that support the organisation’s long-term goals and priorities.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with stakeholders to align project outcomes with business needs and secure necessary support.
  • Team Leadership: Lead cross-functional teams, fostering collaboration, accountability, and high performance.
  • Risk & Performance Management: Identify risks, implement mitigation strategies, and monitor progress against key performance indicators.
  • Continuous Improvement: Promote process enhancements and embed best practices to drive efficiency and innovation.

  • Project Management Expertise: Proven track record of successfully delivering strategic projects across complex environments.
  • Leadership & Team Management: Strong ability to lead, empower, and manage cross-functional teams to achieve project goals.
  • Strategic & Analytical Thinking: Skilled at aligning projects with business objectives and making data-informed decisions.
  • Communication & Stakeholder Engagement: Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to engage effectively at all levels.
  • Adaptability & Multitasking: Comfortable managing multiple priorities in dynamic, fast-paced settings.
  • Technical Proficiency: Experienced in using project management tools and methodologies to drive efficiency and results.
