JOB TITLE: Commercial Performance & Insight Manager

SALARY: £70,929pa - £88,691pa plus the benefits listed below

LOCATION: Edinburgh

HOURS: 35 hours, full time

WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time, at our Edinburgh office.

This role does require data skills capabilities, in particular you must have demonstrable experience of working with Power BI and knowledge of Google Cloud Platform. It is also necessary to have pensions and investment industry knowledge.

About this opportunity

Do you have a passion for data led decision making and crafting deep insights? If so, then you can play a lead role supporting the Scottish Widows Retirement Account Propositions and Intermediary Wealth Distribution teams to deliver for our customers and colleagues.

We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Commercial Performance & Insights Manager to deliver key strategic insights on our Retirement Account proposition and provide actionable information to our Intermediary Wealth Distribution teams.

Our team sits at the heart of the Accumulation Platform which is part of Insurance, Pension and Investments (IP&I) at Lloyds Banking Group.

Your accountabilities will include:

  • Fast and accurately deliver weekly reporting that provides the senior leadership team with visibility on the performance of the business.

  • Preparing specific pieces of insight that drive strategic decision making.

  • Extract Intermediary Wealth data from our Microsoft Dynamics (MSD) customer-relationship-management system and analyse this within Microsoft Power BI or Excel.

  • Understand and provide insight on the pipeline for new Retirement Account sales including, how long it is taking for enquiries to move through the sales funnel, where there is friction in the process, reasons we're successful and reasons we're losing.

  • Analyse how we're performing with growing our business from our already supporting advisers, including which products they are most interested in.

  • Build insight on any parts of our existing book that are at risk of moving to another adviser or wealth provider and provide practical information on the reasons for these risks.

What we need from you?

  • Proficient user of the Microsoft data suite including Excel and Power BI, or similar data manipulation and visualisation tools (1.5 years minimum).

  • Expert in Illustrating insight with PowerBI visuals supported by DAX formulae or similar data visualisation and logic based programming.

  • Knowledge of Google Cloud Platform Data Products.

  • Experience of developing senior management / exec level presentations with Microsoft Office applications e.g. PowerPoint

  • Knowledge of the Pensions and Investments Industry, including products, competitors, key intermediary types and an understanding of the regulations.

  • Outstanding problem-solving and analysis skills with experience sharing the commercial consequences of past, present and future business activities.

  • Great relationship management skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels of seniority.

  • Capability to address and resolve challenges with high energy and at pace.

  • Articulate compelling arguments to gain support of others to motivate change based on insight.
