About this Opportunity

An exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to join the Strategic Ledger team as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in the BAU Run team. The core purpose of the role is to support Finance with the Oracle applications daily operations.

The role requires a finance systems background and the ability to establish effective relationships as you collaborate closely with key stakeholders across all areas of the business.

Key responsibilities:

  • Maintain daily and month-end timetables.

  • Ensure daily operational control tasks are completed in a timely manner ensuring issues identified are rectified to manage risks.

  • Collaborate closely with the team and business to provide updates and comms on daily issues.

  • Participate in the knowledge transfer of tasks into the team and adoption of these processes into the current daily activity.

  • Create and maintain operational procedures to make sure they are relevant and up to date.

  • Monitor mailbox for any user queries and promptly answer the questions.

  • Collaborate with wider Platform on a wide variety of issues and system requirements.

  • Participate in team discussions to identify and deliver continuous improvement to increase efficiency and productivity.

  • Independently prioritise own development learning new skills and knowledge to increase team capability and capacity.

  • Participate in systems testing to support quarterly releases and project change.

  • Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders across Finance and the Business.

What you'll need

  • Analysis & Decision Making: Identifies the key issues, breaking down problems and establishing facts. Uses sound judgement to make informed decisions. Accounting background would be preferential. Analytical approach to data and processes.

  • Delivering Business Results: Energetic, tenacious in the achievement of goals and operates at pace. Strong collaborative working ethic, with a 'can / will do' approach and must be prepared to be hands on.

  • Change Management: Communicates and explains change effectively. Plans and implements changes gaining commitment and understanding, minimising disruption to service.

  • Organisational Awareness: Highly organised with a keen diligence and the ability to prioritise effectively in a demanding environment. Develops and maintains relationships with key contacts in all relevant areas.

  • Bringing Innovation to problem solving: Looks for opportunities to simplify and improve within a changing environment.

  • Advanced excel skills would be beneficial to the role alongside any SAP and Oracle Fusion system knowledge.

Flexibility regarding working hours will be required to support as there is a requirement to operate controls late evenings, weekends, and Bank Holidays. Cover will be on a rotational basis.
