JOB TITLE: Infrastructure Specialist

SALARY: £47,790 - £53,100

LOCATION: Leeds

HOURS: Full Time - 35 hours per week

WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time, at our offices.

Collaborate in the design, implementation, maintenance, and support of Networking infrastructure using the newest technologies. Gain practical experience whilst working on complex designs, config and implementation activities supporting the Senior Infrastructure Specialist.

What the role involves...

As an Infrastructure Specialist, your role specialism will include:

  • Identifying weaknesses and proposing improvements in current processes, systems, and procedures within your area of focus to help facilitate change programmes in delivery of outcomes.

  • Recommendations, detailed designs, guidelines and publishing of these information standards.

  • Meeting customer needs and delivering positive outcomes related to the provision of Network services while following standardised patterns.

  • Standard incident handling with current processes, systems and procedures, taking action to solve and provide advice to more senior colleagues on more sophisticated problems, root cause and breakdown barriers.

  • Developing self and others in improving personal capabilities using formal and informal training opportunities and agile methodologies. Improving knowledge management systems to boost customer experiences.

  • Tracking budgets, leading quotations from suppliers and addressing variances to ensure value in our Network solutions.

  • Supporting other colleagues in their performance of product development/engineering activities.

What you’ll need...

If you're a Wi-Fi whiz with skills in Cisco Wi-Fi and Catalyst (DNA) Centre, let's talk! We're predominantly Cisco focussed. You'll be joining a team running a large Wi-Fi install of 8300 Access Points, a 3500-device switch estate and a 1000 site Cisco SD-WAN installation. If you have CCNA, even better! Possessing an awareness of Automation, IaC, Ansible, Terraform etc would be advantageous as well as an understanding of agile methodologies and toolsets. You'll be an excellent communicator with a commitment to improve, your role will require a high level of attention to detail and an ability to lead change. Hard-working and capable of independent thinking as well as collaborating within the team.
