Job description

In Colleague Success, we are enthusiastic about making every day easier for colleagues across Lloyds Banking Group.

Within Operational Data & Analytics, we play a critical role in enabling that mission, translating complex data into actionable insights that drive smarter decisions and more efficient processes. Our team sits at the intersection of operational excellence and transformation, working closely with teams across Colleague Success, wider People & Places and our international colleagues in Hyderabad to shape the future of People Services delivery.

About the role:

In a role where pace meets purpose, you’ll be at the heart of meaningful work that evolves every day.

This is a key technical opportunity to strengthen and advance our Reporting & Analytics capabilities, contributing to the design and delivery of robust reporting solutions and analytics frameworks that support strategic decision making and operational excellence across Colleague Success.

You’ll be the technical powerhouse of the team, bringing deep expertise in data tools, automation, and visualisation to deliver high quality outputs that enable others to act with confidence.

The role will be varied, no two days will be the same, and you’ll be concurrently delivering across a range of responsibilities including:

  • Reporting Development: Build and maintain scalable reporting solutions using Power BI, Tableau, and Excel (Power Query) to deliver accurate and user-friendly dashboards.
  • Product Led Delivery: Apply product led thinking to reporting and analytics initiatives, ensuring solutions are user centric, iterative, and aligned to evolving business needs.
  • Platform Optimisation: Maximise the reporting capabilities of ServiceNow and Workday by leveraging native tools, integrations, and customisation to enhance data accessibility and insight delivery.
  • Data Engineering & Automation: Develop and automate data pipelines using SQL, Python, and Google Cloud Platform to streamline processes and enhance data integrity.
  • Insight Generation: Translate complex datasets into clear, actionable insights that support operational and strategic goals across Colleague Success
  • Data Governance & Quality: Champion data quality, governance, and responsible data use, ensuring outputs are reliable, ethical, and aligned with regulatory standards.
  • Driving at Pace: Lead initiatives with urgency and efficiency, managing multiple data projects simultaneously. Prioritise tasks and resources to meet tight deadlines while maintaining high-quality delivery.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with Colleague Success Teams, People & Places Data Hub, and stakeholders across People & Places to understand data needs and deliver fit-for-purpose solutions that drive impact.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance reporting efficiency and analytics capabilities through feedback loops, contributing to a culture of innovation and learning.

Key Skills Required:

We’re looking for someone who brings strong technical capability, a problem-solving mindset, and a passion for enabling transformation through data. Here are the super strengths that will help you thrive in this role:

  • Technical & Analytical Expertise:
    • Proficiency in Power BI, Tableau, Excel (Power Query), SQL, Python, and Google Cloud Platform.
    • Ability to work with large, complex datasets to uncover patterns, generate insights, and build impactful dashboards.
    • Experience in automating reporting processes and improving data quality and integrity.

  • Platform & Product Knowledge:
    • Familiarity with ServiceNow and Workday reporting tools, with the ability to maximise their native capabilities.
    • A product led mindset, focused on delivering user centric, iterative solutions that evolve with business needs.

  • Insight & Communication
    • Skilled at translating technical data into clear, actionable insights and visualisations.
    • Ability to tailor outputs for different audiences, ensuring clarity, relevance, and impact.

  • Data Governance, Standards & Controls:
    • Strong understanding of data governance principles and the ability to apply standards and controls to ensure consistency and compliance.
    • Commitment to ethical and responsible data use, especially within regulated environments.

  • Delivery & Pace:
    • Comfortable managing multiple initiatives simultaneously, prioritising tasks and resources to meet tight deadlines.
    • Proven ability to lead initiatives with urgency and efficiency, driving optimisation and continuous improvement.

  • Market Insight and Curiosity:
    • A naturally curious mindset with a passion for exploring new tools, techniques, and industry trends.
    • Ability to bring external market insights into the team to inform and evolve our reporting and analytics practices.

  • Adaptability and Resilience:
    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Adapt to changing circumstances and maintain resilience in the face of challenging discussions.

  • Continuous Improvement Mindset:
    • Commitment to continuous learning and improvement. Encourage a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the team.

We also offer a wide-ranging benefits package, which includes:

  • A generous pension contribution of up to 15%
  • An annual performance-related bonus
  • Share schemes including free shares
  • Benefits you can adapt to your lifestyle, such as discounted shopping
  • 30 days’ holiday, with bank holidays on top
  • A range of wellbeing initiatives and generous parental leave policies
