Job description

About the team:

In Colleague Success, we are driven to make every day easier for colleagues across Lloyds Banking Group.

The team currently brings together a broad range of operational and technology specialisms covering Recruitment Operations, Colleague Policy & Vetting, Employee Relations, Learning Operations, Payroll Operations & Delivery, and the delivery, change and run of the technology supporting our People function, including generative AI and automation. As well as this, we're an exceptionally diverse, distributed team, based in People and Places Hubs across the UK and in India.

About this opportunity:

We're now seeking an incredibly effective, efficient and empathetic individual to take on the role of Executive Assistant for the Colleague Success Director.

The role will be incredibly varied, no two days will be the same, but you’ll broadly be responsible for:

  • Working as part of the SLT to ensure the function is best placed to deliver on its strategic and operational objectives, including effectively measuring and reporting on our progress.

  • Providing leadership, ownership and drive across the mobilisation of selected strategic priorities aligned to the Director’s and function’s priorities.

  • Playing a key role in supporting the preparation, coordination and support of strategic and operational changes to deliver the strategy of the People & Places function.

  • Taking the lead for ensuring a robust risk profile is maintained within the function, working across the SLT to ensure risk and controls are handled and reported effectively.

  • Ensuring the Director is well prepared for all forums, committees and events they attend.

  • Using sound judgement, business insights and effective working relationships, to make decisions on behalf of and alongside the Director.

  • Screening, digesting and interpreting complex and often confidential information and communications, responding, rerouting and prioritising as appropriate, aligned to our priorities.

  • Identifying and leading key programmes, contributing to a wide range of the team’s priorities, whilst helping to create a positive, engaging team culture.

  • Handling an annual calendar of events, forums and meetings, including performance and reward cycles, working closely with Group Corporate Affairs to ensure communications are prepared and shared on a regular basis.

  • Collaborating with the executive's PA and other EAs across the function to ensure People and Places leadership are using their time as efficiently as possible aligned to current priorities.

The skills you’ll need:

  • Superb communication - ability to distil complex, confidential and varied information into actionable insights and stories from colleagues through to GEC execs.

  • Seamless flexibility – ability to juggle multiple priorities, move effortlessly from topic to topic, and retain effective oversight across a wide ranging and ever-shifting portfolio of work – enabled through some next level organisational skills.

  • Strong confidence – in presenting and providing (sometimes difficult) messages in a succinct and clear format, both written and orally.

  • Tech savvy – you’ll be excited about the opportunities of automation, AI and GenAI and its potential with a sound understanding of existing and emerging HR tech and how it can be applied to deliver amazing colleague experiences.

  • HR knowledge – a strong understanding of the colleague lifecycle and associated HR services, and global HR operations.

  • Genius collaboration - enthused to work with a wide range of people, building trusted working relationships with colleagues up to executive level, using keen influencing skills to bring them on the journey.

  • Contagious passion – bring steadfast positivity to thrive in a dynamic environment and motivate others to work towards our strategy, together.

  • Failsafe trust – bring tact, discretion and trust at all times to reliably respond, reroute and prioritise as appropriate.

  • Culturally sensitive – inclusive and empathetic of the needs and ways of working of a diverse team set across different global locations.

We also offer a wide-ranging benefits package, which includes:

  • A generous pension contribution of up to 15%
  • An annual bonus award, subject to Group performance
  • Share schemes including free shares
  • Benefits you can adapt to your lifestyle, such as discounted shopping
  • 30 days’ holiday, with bank holidays on top
  • A range of wellbeing initiatives and generous parental leave policies
