WORKING PATTERN: Hybrid, 40% (or two days) in one of our office hubs mentioned above

About this opportunity

Personalised Experiences and Communications (PEC) platform sits within the Consumer Relationships BU & plays a core role in supporting the achievement of the Group Personalisation strategy to be more relevant for customers. 

 

The role of Strategic Measurement Lead involves developing and delivering the measurement strategy that underpins our personalisation and customer experience ambitions. Crafting measurement frameworks and championing data-informed decision-making will help ensure the delivery of the right message to the right customer at the right time.

The role sits within our Product Intelligence team, where we specialise in using insight to drive product development, supporting the scaling and exploitation of new connections to our customer channels, improved in-channel features and intelligent decisioning tools.

Key Responsibilities

  • Defining the measurement strategy for personalisation and Next Best Experience (NBX) initiatives, ensuring alignment with customer, commercial, and operational goals.

  • Define and implement robust measurement frameworks, key results, and taxonomies that provide strategic context to performance outcomes.

  • Drive continuous discovery and learning, embedding feedback loops and behavioural insight into product and experience development.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally across Product, CRM, Analytics and Engineering functions to ensure measurement is embedded in delivery and decisioning.

  • Develop self-serve insight capabilities that improve access to performance data and enable teams to act on insights.

  • Steer measurement delivery through major transformations, including data migrations (e.g. to Google Cloud Platform), ensuring continuity and scalability.

What do you need?

  • Experience in a measurement, analytics, or insight leadership role.

  • Strong understanding of customer experience, personalisation, or decisioning platforms.

  • Expertise in defining measures of success, measurement taxonomies, and outcome frameworks.

  • Proficiency in data analysis and visualisation tools (e.g. SQL, Looker, Power BI, GCP).

  • Ability to influence and collaborate across a range of team members.

  • Excellent communication and storytelling skills, with a focus on clarity and impact.

  • A strategic analytical approach with an attention to detail, ensuring insights are both accurate and actionable

What is desirable?

  • Experience with cloud-based data platforms (e.g. GCP).

  • Exposure to closed-loop measurement systems and experimentation frameworks (e.g. A/B testing, control groups).

  • Experience in agile product development environments, particularly in roles that bridge data, product, and customer experience.

  • Background in consulting, strategy, or transformation programmes with a focus on data and measurement.

  • A Background in behavioural science, statistics, or customer analytics.

  • Familiarity with Next Best Action (NBA) or decisioning platforms in a marketing or customer experience context.
