We're seeking a strategic and inspiring Relationship Director to lead a team of Scheme Relationship Managers and Workplace Relationship Consultants. This role is central to leading and rapidly growing our Workplace Pensions client base—defending and growing funds under management, securing new business, and delivering our workplace strategy.

As a key member of the Client Relationship Management team within the Insurance, Pensions & Investments (IP&I) network, you'll play a vital role in helping clients build financial resilience and secure better futures for their employees. You’ll also act as a visible ambassador for Scottish Widows, promoting our flagship workplace savings propositions across the financial services industry.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Lead and develop a high-performing to strengthen client relationships and drive business growth.
  • Retain and grow workplace pension schemes, influencing clients and advisers to support Scottish Widows’ workplace strategy.
  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with employers, trustees, and intermediaries, acting as a trusted partner and advocate for good customer outcomes.
  • Collaborate across the group, including Scottish Widows, Embark, and Schroders Personal Wealth, to deliver coordinated solutions and a seamless client experience.
  • Champion innovation and change, embracing new tools and practices to improve both client and colleague experiences.
  • Represent Scottish Widows in the market, promoting and contributing to the company’s reputation and market share goals.

What you’ll need:

  • Extensive experience in UK workplace pensions or UK financial services, with a strong background of leading and growing corporate and intermediary relationships.
  • Strong understanding of the UK workplace savings landscape, including regulatory trends, competitor activity, and client expectations.
  • Shown leadership skills, with the ability to encourage, mentor, and manage a team to deliver exceptional client service and meet business objectives.
  • Strategic and commercial approach, capable of aligning client needs with business goals and identifying opportunities for growth and retention.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and influencing skills, able to build trust and credibility across a wide range of internal and external partners.
  • Proactive and tech-savvy, always eager to embrace new tools and improve processes consistently.
