JOB TITLE: Infrastructure Specialist - Devices

LOCATION: Leeds 

HOURS: Full-time

WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time, at one of our office sites. Our Platform anchor day is Monday with flexibility around the other office day(s)

About the opportunity

We have a great opportunity for someone to join our Modern Workplace Technology (MWT) team, where we enable secure and efficient application packaging and release services across the organisation. In this role, you’ll contribute to a seamless digital workplace by supporting software delivery, automation, and evergreen processes.

Seeking an engineer with demonstrable experience in medium to large IT settings, strong technical skills, and proficiency in problem-solving. Join a friendly and dynamic team based across the UK, delivering outstanding support and solutions for our business.

Key Responsibilities include

  • Package and deploy applications across Windows and Mac OS environments.

  • Support technical reviews to ensure applications meet security, accessibility, and quality standards.

  • Assist with the application lifecycle, including testing, deployment, and updates.

  • Provide technical support for application and operating system-related queries.

  • Maintain and improve automation scripts and internal deployment tools.

  • Partner with internal teams and external vendors to support application delivery.

  • Work on automation and evergreen initiatives.

  • Participate in on-call support as needed.

  • Provide technical support for assistive technologies, ensuring compatibility, stability, and accessibility through additional testing.

  • Collaborate with Health & Wellbeing teams and vendors to ensure colleagues have access to appropriate assistive technologies and training.

What you'll need

  • Experience in IT environments, with exposure to application packaging and deployment.

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Intune, JAMF and device management practices.

  • Understanding of packaging tools such as InstallShield, AdminStudio, or similar.

  • Basic scripting knowledge (e.g., PowerShell).

  • Exposure to technologies like App-V, MSI/MSIX.

  • Understanding of Active Directory and related tools.

  • Awareness of platforms like ServiceNow, JIRA, and GitHub.

  • General knowledge of Microsoft 365 and Windows 11.

  • Experience with assistive technologies such as ZoomText, JAWS, or Dragon is beneficial.

  • A collaborative approach and eagerness to learn and grow.

  • Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to supporting others.
