Job description

What you’ll be doing

  • Lead service reliability engineering initiatives, driving faster recovery and learning from incidents
  • Champion an automation-first mindset to improve operational efficiency
  • Manage a small team and establish a virtual network of stakeholders and contributors
  • Act as a thought leader in service, influencing cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders
  • Own and coordinate major incidents, ensuring timely resolution and thorough post-incident reviews
  • Drive continuous improvement across operational processes and service transitions
  • Represent the function in governance forums and strategic planning discussions
  • Build relationships with external partners and vendors to support service innovation

What you’ll need

  • Proven experience in IT operations or service management with line management responsibilities
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to operate at peer-level across functions
  • Expertise in incident, problem, and change management frameworks (e.g. ITIL)
  • Passion for automation and service reliability engineering

And any experience of these would be really useful:

  • Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Dynatrace or Splunk
  • Exposure to Agile, DevOps or SRE principles
  • ITIL Foundation certification
  • Experience in enterprise environments with 24x7 operations
