Job description

Chief Security Office Business Platform Lead

Lloyds Banking Group is undergoing a bold transformation to become a modern, resilient, and customer-centric financial institution. Our strategic ambition is to “Grow, Focus & Change,” with a strong emphasis on digital innovation, operational excellence, and security enablement.

The Chief Security Office (CSO) plays a pivotal role in safeguarding the Lloyds Banking Group’s customers, colleagues, and data across all business platforms. Operating within the Group’s Chief Operating Office, we deliver enterprise-wide security services, governance, and innovation to ensure resilience and trust in a rapidly evolving digital world, whilst enabling the Group to Safely Go Faster.

About the opportunity:

The Business Platform Lead (BPL) for the Chief Security Office is accountable for setting and delivering the Group’s security strategy. This includes defining the vision for all CSO products and services. The BPL will also ensure the effective use of delivery of these capabilities across RUN and CHANGE through the adoption of Agile practices. This includes supporting POs in breaking down the work, prioritising the platform backlog, and delivering at pace.

The BPL works with partners in every business unit to ensure alignment with our customers across the whole organisation, making sure our security model unlocks business needs and strategic transformation goals. They will work in a 2 in a box model alongside the Technical Platform Lead and will assume joint accountability for the ownership, leadership, development and end to end delivery and run within the CSO Platform.

We’re looking for an inspiring leader who brings security expertise, an ambitious vision, and a genuine passion for security, combined with a stellar track record on getting this done in a modern security environment. You’ll demonstrate inspiring ownership and integrity, and thrive in a dynamic team with a clear sense of purpose.

You’ll bring a long-term view and a clear product strategy that translates ideas into sustainable, high-impact products and services. These solutions will be built to the highest security standards, driven by a deep understanding of customer needs. This is about transformation not evolution.

The BPL takes a complete view of the platform’s resources, considering both internal capabilities and external influences—including the evolving threat landscape, business environment, technology trends, and customer expectations.
