Job description

Job Title: Senior Proposition & Commercial Manager - Complex Pensions

Location: Edinburgh or Leeds

Salary:  £89,640 + DOE

Hours: Full time

Working Pattern: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of your time, at our Edinburgh or Leeds office.

About This Opportunity:

Embark Pensions is part of the Complex Pensions & Migrations team, and delivers a tailored SIPP proposition that targets HNW, advised and unadvised customers. Customers invest in a wide range of assets, including third party DFMs and property. In addition, there are several closed books and white label propositions that are included in this role.

As Senior Proposition & Commercial Manager you'll initially support on delivering our consumer duty dashboard for Embark Pensions, working with internal and external stakeholders to ensure we get the right MI to demonstrate our products are performing as they should. You'll have full ownership of the propositions within Embark Pensions; including all consumer duty outcomes; ensuring our propositions continue to be commercially viable whilst remaining competitive; sponsoring proposition and regulatory change; literature ownership; and providing support to distribution and operational colleagues.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Lead delivery of customer and colleague journeys – Be responsible for the end-to-end process from concept to live across multiple propositions, ensuring measurable value is delivered.
  • Own Consumer Duty deliverables – Responsible for delivering excellent customer outcomes and preventing foreseeable harm; compose MI to demonstrate success and identify areas to address
  • Collaborate across teams – Work with engineers and journey managers to break down work into deliverable increments aligned with customer needs and business goals.
  • Own and prioritise the product backlog – Develop the Lab’s propositional roadmap in partnership with other Product Owners and Lab Leadership.
  • Coordinate change governance – Ensure compliance with internal frameworks (including product governance and delivering a consumer duty dashboard for Embark Pensions) and regulatory standards.
  • Drive readiness activities – Lead training, communications, testing and implementation planning for new features.
  • Champion delivery excellence – Showcase progress and outcomes across the Lab and wider Group.

Why Lloyds Banking Group:

Like the modern Britain we serve, we're evolving. Investing billions in our people, data, and tech to transform the way we meet the ever-changing needs of our 26 million customers. We're growing with purpose. Join us on our journey and you will too.

What you’ll need:

  • Product Owner experience – Backlog ownership and prioritisation. Strong experience in product, brand or service development within a complex organisation. A customer-first approach, with a track record of improving experiences through innovation and insight.
  • Leadership across multiple teams – Experience leading projects or workstreams, ideally within a change or transformation programme. Confidence in handling performance and setting objectives for teams or functions.
  • Deep understanding of the UK SIPP market – Gained through product, operational and/or project roles. Strong understanding of pension rules, including FCA regulation and Consumer Duty Obligations.
  • Strong stakeholder management – Comfortable working with director-level collaborators. Confirmed ability to run customer relationships and deliver tailored solutions that meet evolving needs.
  • Risk and governance expertise – Skilled in handling delivery risks and navigating complex change processes.
  • Technical awareness – Able to help resolve blockers and ensure efficient, scalable solutions.
