SALARY: £76,194 - £89,640

LOCATION(S): Edinburgh

HOURS: Full time

WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time, at our locations.

About this Opportunity

An exciting opportunity has arisen in the API & Digital Services Platform for a Senior Product Owner to join the team. This platform enables the Group to build and make available great APIs. These APIs power the digital banking experiences provided by Lloyds Banking Group to its retail and commercial customers. We are also building the key enablers that are modernising the bank Digital estate. The API lab, in the API & Digital Services platform oversees the API Gateway, API Marketplace and API Compliance for the Bank.

What you’ll be doing

You'll lead on the shaping and delivery of the Lloyds Banking group API Marketplace – this product is key to enable the group to realise its ambitions to distribute and engage via APIs with its numerous customers.

You'll be expected to set and drive the product strategy and execution for the API marketplace and guide junior Product Owners.

As well as working directly with engineering teams to build new features and release them for business consumption, you'll collaborate with Design and Data teams to understand customer problems and ideate the right solution. Aside from this you'll need to work with a diverse range of stakeholders and cross-functional teams to both run and improve your products.

What you’ll need

We'll be specifically looking for you to have had experience in some of the following:

  • Experience in building and managing a product marketplace or portal.

  • Experience implementing self-serve products, especially within a B2B2C context.

  • Strong customer focus and evidence of having built products driven by deep customer understanding

  • Proficiency in everything APIs and the needs of the customers of APIs (other product owners, engineers and architects)

  • Skills in simplifying and streamlining discovery phases and enhancing workflow processes.

  • Leadership in guiding business, technical, and cross-functional teams to achieve change.

  • Experience in strategic and complex transformations.

  • Proficiency in cultivating positive relationships with key partners and understanding business dynamics.

  • Strong background in identity and/or authentication and particularly coordinating risk-based authentication solutions is beneficial.
