JOB TITLE: Manager, Collateral Management

SALARY: From £81,999 (dependent on experience)

LOCATIONS: Birmingham / Edinburgh

HOURS: Full-Time

WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time, at one of our office sites

About This Opportunity

We’re looking for a forward-thinking and collaborative leader to help shape the future of Collateral Management within Markets Operations. In this role, you’ll lead the digital transformation of our collateral processes, working closely with teams across Credit, XVA, PLM, and Platforms to deliver a multi-phase innovation programme.

You’ll bring deep technical knowledge and a passion for problem-solving to identify more efficient ways of working. Your insights will help us respond to a constantly evolving market, uncover automation opportunities, and improve how we serve our clients.

As a trusted expert, you’ll also stay ahead of industry trends, translating them into practical strategies that support our business goals. You’ll engage with partners across the organisation and beyond, helping to shape new opportunities and drive relevant change.

This role involves managing a large collateral portfolio and requires adaptability, sound judgement, and a proactive approach to risk in a fast-paced environment

Key Accountabilities

Leadership:

  • Lead the Teams digital transformation of Collateral Management within Markets Operations.

  • Support the Senior Manager in delivering on client, risk, financial, change, and people goals.

  • Inspire and develop team members, helping them grow and thrive.


Delivery:

  • Achieve results, even in challenging circumstances.

  • Encourage and empower others, removing barriers and championing collaboration


Stakeholder Management:

  • Build positive relationships across Markets and Treasury, using established governance frameworks to influence and deliver outcomes

  • Engagement with Industry partners


Continuous Improvement:

  • Identify and implement improvements to operational processes, controls, and client service

  • Champion innovation and strategic change across the team.

  • Mentor others to think creatively and deliver enhancements.


Industry Awareness:

  • Stay informed about market, regulatory, and economic developments.

  • Represent the organisation at industry forums and events.

  • Promote sustainability and responsible business practices


What You'll Need

  • Strong demonstrable experience in a post-trade environment.

  • Proven track record of leading and empowering teams.

  • Strong technical knowledge of collateralised products, exposures, valuations, and settlement processes.

  • Understanding of legal frameworks supporting collateralisation.

  • Familiarity with risk management principles and frameworks.

  • Strong collaboration and communication skills.

  • Analytical mentality with a proactive approach to problem-solving.

  • Commitment to ethical behaviour and acting in the best interests of clients and partners across the business.

  • Ability to prioritize effectively in fast paced situations.

  • Passion for continuous improvement and delivering positive change.
