Job description

JOB TITLE: Release Manager 

SALARY: £59,850 - £73,150 
LOCATION: Edinburgh 
HOURS: Full Time – 35 Hours per week 
WORKING PATTERN: Hybrid – at least two days per week, or 40% of your time, in our Edinburgh office 

 

ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY 

We’re delivering transformational change across our Workplace Platform, and we need a Release Manager to help us drive it forward. You’ll be at the heart of our release lifecycle, coordinating complex change across our platform and ensuring governance, readiness, and post-live support are delivered to the highest standards. 

This is a hands-on, high-impact role ideal for someone with strong technical knowledge our externally provided platform, experience in release coordination, and a resilient, collaborative mindset. You’ll work closely with engineering, testing, and external partners to ensure smooth delivery and continuous improvement. 

 

DAY TO DAY, YOULL: 

• Lead release planning and implementation across the Workplace Platform 
• Coordinate with 3rd parties and internal teams to manage dependencies and ensure readiness 
• Own governance and assurance processes, including post-live support 
• Contribute to continuous improvement and standardisation of release practices 
• Support emergency and out-of-hours change delivery when required 
• Collaborate with stakeholders to resolve issues and drive platform stability 

 

WHAT YOU’LL NEED: 

FNZ Platform Knowledge – Experience with FNZ or similar product engines is highly desirable 
Technical & Operational Expertise – Understanding of infrastructure, release cycles, and service management as well as tools like Jira, Confluence & ServiceNow 
Resilience & Collaboration – Ability to thrive in high-pressure environments and build strong relationships 
Cloud Awareness – Working knowledge of GCP or similar platforms is a bonus, but not essential 
Strategic Thinking – Capable of influencing release strategy and contributing to platform evolution
