About This Opportunity:

Are you looking to help shape the future of security and application management within our Insurance, Pensions & Investments (IP&I) business? Do you want to be at the forefront of keeping our customers and colleagues safe?

You’ll be part of a dynamic team that’s committed to protecting the confidentiality, integrity and availability of our data and systems. This is a high-profile role where you’ll lead a team of Security & Application Management professionals, working closely with senior leaders across the business and Group functions to embed and enhance our Security Operating Model.

You’ll play a key role in ensuring our security controls are robust, compliant and continuously improving. You’ll influence decisions at the highest levels, support application owners across multiple business areas and lead strategic initiatives that strengthen our control environment.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Lead the Application and Access Management Team, supporting application owners to meet policy responsibilities across IP&I.
  • Evaluate, implement and operate security controls in assigned policy areas, ensuring compliance and effectiveness.
  • Develop and deliver short, medium and long-term remediation plans aligned with risk appetite and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide expert guidance on security control design and implementation to influence business decisions.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders across the business and Group functions, contributing to meetings and strategic discussions.
  • Produce insightful reports and MI to support decision-making at Business Unit and Group level.

  • Deep understanding of Identity and Access Management processes and tools (e.g. ServiceNow, SailPoint)
  • Strong leadership skills with experience of managing and developing high-performing teams
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, with confidence to influence at Director and Managing Director level.
  • Ability to interpret data and provide actionable insights through reports and recommendations.
  • A proactive mindset with a commitment to continuous improvement and embedding Group values
