JOB TITLE: Senior Manager, Controls Architect (Insurance)

SALARY: Pay group 4F

LOCATION(S): Leeds, Bristol, Edinburgh

HOURS: Full-time

WORKING PATTERN: Two days per week, or 40% of your time, working from one of our offices.

As a Senior Manager, you'll lead the strategic execution of risk and control initiatives across IP&I. You'll be responsible for embedding robust control frameworks, driving control improvement, simplification and automation, ensuring compliance with the Enterprise Risk Management Framework (ERMF). This role demands strong leadership, cross-functional coordination, and the ability to influence senior leaders.

What you'll be doing:

  • Driving control improvements through simplification and automation.

  • Championing ERMF compliance across the business units.

  • Coordinate risk and control assessments in partnership with Risk Owners (ROs) and Control Owners (COs).

  • Lead root cause analysis of operational risk events and ensure timely control remediation.

  • Provide assurance over supplier policy adherence and manage outsourcing notification processes.

  • Act as a senior point of contact for internal and external partners on control matters.

What you'll need:

  • Background working in regulated environments within the Insurance space

  • Experience in risk management and controls at a senior level.

  • Strong understanding of ERMF and operational risk frameworks.

  • Excellent partner management and communication skills.

  • Experience in process automation and control design.

  • Strong product understanding.
