WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time in the office.

Lloyds Banking Group is the largest mortgage provider in the UK and the number one choice for mortgage brokers.  The mortgages experience design team are looking for a talented and driven UX design squad leader who can help take our broker experience to the next level.  

 

You'll lead a multi disciplinary team of UX/UI designers, Research, Service design, Content design, so understanding how to leverage these skills across a team is vital for the successful candidate. You'll also work with senior stakeholders and coordinate with engineering, to deliver exceptional B2B mortgage broker experiences. You will take full ownership of their output, providing rationale for design decisions and confidently present their work back to stakeholders and coach designers in your team to grow.

As a UX Squad Lead, it’ll be your role to:

  • Shape and implement experience strategy for broker experiences

  • Having a deep understanding of customer needs, pain points and expectations

  • Understand goals and challenges in the context of business and engineering priorities

  • Work with service designers to influence and develop the roadmap and overall product strategy

  • Engage with leadership to understand objectives and opportunities aligned to good customer outcomes

  • Provide leadership to a team of multi-disciplinary designers to support decision-making, delivery and team culture

  • Establish a growth culture and build capabilities through the formal development and mentoring of team members

What you'll need

  • Extensive and demonstrable experience within User Experience design/Product Design

  • B2B(2C) design experience preferrable

  • Design systems experience, including Figma expertise 

  • Understanding of Qual and Quant research

  • Experience leading teams

  • Strong stakeholder negotiation skills

  • A strong strategic vision that aligns well to the overall business strategy

  • Line management experience
