In an ever-developing, fast-paced society, agile working has never been more important. It’s vital we meet the needs of the 21st Century work environment as technology advances and the behaviours and expectations of customers and colleagues evolve.
Agile Working is at the heart of Lloyds Banking Group’s strategy to work more efficiently for the benefit of colleagues, our customers and the business. We are committed to building a culture that encourages innovative agile working policies and practices to bring both long lasting benefits for our business, and to support our colleagues to achieve true work life balance.
As a founder member of the Agile Future Forum, a group of leading employers supporting workforce agility in the UK, we’ve been looking at ways to become more agile as a company, so we are better suited to tackle the ever-evolving needs of our customers and colleagues in the 21st century.
At Lloyds Banking Group we’re investing £1 billion over the next three years to develop our digital offering to ensure we have a strong technology infrastructure for agile working to be embedded in the business and for seamless services to be delivered to our customers.
The campaign provided colleagues and leaders with the tools, support, training and policies to enable workforce agility, which we are continuing to evolve and develop in 2017.
Support for parents and carers
We recognise the importance of family life, and invest in one of the best packages for working parents in the UK. In 2015 Lloyds Banking Group launched an enhanced Shared Parental Leave policy to offer greater choice and flexibility for our working parents. We also launched a new approach to job sharing and an improved job share register.
In 2016, we launched a new colleague network called Family Matters. This network holds events which cover topics from caring for children/adults and managing a career to regular overviews of the Group's Paternity policy.
We were named a Top 10 Employer for Working Families in 2016. We also won the "Best for Dads" category at the workingmums.co.uk awards.
