JOB TITLE:  Private Cloud Infrastructure Specialist

SALARY: £72,702 – £80,780

LOCATION: Leeds or Manchester

HOURS:  Full time

WORKING PATTERN: Hybrid, 40% (or two days) in an office site

Job Description

On a day to day basis you will:

  • Lead or contribute to the architectural design of cloud platform technologies and products across our ecosystem. 

  • You’ll be hands-on, working on building and maintaining our private cloud products and services. 

  • Be proficient in leading technical conversations with stakeholders of varying levels of technical background, including Senior Management and other Subject Matter Experts. 

  • Be a great collaborator across internal, external, and 3rd party teams. 

  • Drive best-in-class approaches to automation and security.  

  • Have the ability to provide education and mentorship covering cloud engineering topics to support different teams on those topics, and drive upskilling. 

  • Be an SME in a particular aspect of infrastructure engineering or product category. 

What you’ll need

Essential skills:

  • Proven experience as a Network Engineer with expertise in cloud environments. 

  • Expert knowledge of Networking technologies and services (NSX, VXLAN, ACI, BGP) 

  • Strong troubleshooting skills and support experience with network technologies and tools. 

  • Strong experience in writing technical design documents. 

Desirable skills:

  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS and Google Cloud. 

  • Experience in developing, maintaining and supporting networks in NSX. 

  • Good understanding and familiarity with automation tooling; Terraform, Ansible, Github. 

  • Monitoring the automation of network deployment and configuration. 

  • Good understanding of VXLAN/Geneve technologies. 

  • Good understanding of VMware virtual infrastructure. 

  • Experience of Service Design & associated methodologies. 

  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills. 

  • Experience of large scale data migrations. 

Interviews for this role will take place on the 1st and 2nd December 2025.
