Job description

JOB TITLE: Senior Analyst - Affordability Optimisation & Data Optimisation

LOCATION(S): Chester, Manchester, Halifax, Leeds

HOURS: Full-time

WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time, at one of our office sites mentioned above

We’re looking for a dynamic Senior Analyst to join our innovative Affordability Optimisation & Data Optimisation team, part of Customer Affordability and Data, with a focus on the Loans & Transport portfolio.

Here in the Affordability Optimisation & Data Optimisation (AODO) team, we'll be reinventing how we assess and manage customer affordability for more digital-centric journeys. We'll adopt new data capability to look at affordability horizontally across all of our lending propositions rather than vertically, within product silos. This capability will be integral to how we offer customers proactive and embedded borrowing options, both within our relationship brands and also with any partner brands

Key Accountabilities:

  • Enhance Customer Strategies: Improve customer experience, credit quality, and segment growth across Consumer Lending.

  • Optimise Affordability and Eligibility: Use data-driven insights and portfolio performance analysis to shape affordability strategies aligned with stakeholder goals.

  • Deliver Analytical Excellence: Apply segmentation, modelling, and analytical tools to generate actionable recommendations.

  • Collaborate Across Teams: Work with internal and external stakeholders to deliver joined-up solutions that support our strategic goals.

  • Drive Innovation and Learning: Contribute to a culture of experimentation and continuous improvement, supporting the development of new data capabilities.

Essential Skills:

  • Proven experience in an analytical, credit, or product-focused role.

  • Strong data and analytics skills, with the ability to translate complex analysis into clear insights using concise visuals and narratives to support lending strategy discussions with senior partners.

  • Proficiency in SAS/SQL and solid understanding of Microsoft Office tools.

  • Experience using segmentation and modelling to support decision-making.

Desirable Skills:

  • Background in Consumer Lending product environments.
