JOB TITLE: Product Manager - Strategic Propositions & Delivery

LOCATION: Chester
SALARY: £59,850  - £66,500

HOURS: Full-Time

WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time in our Chester office.

About the opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity to join one of the Consumer Lending teams with a goal to transform how we engage and serve customers using propositions including Your Credit Score (YCS) and new Data Products.

In Customer Affordability & Data we lead on three areas:  

  • Helping customers understand how much they can sustainably borrow regardless of the product they choose or the channel they reach us 

  • Redefining how we assess affordability and eligibility across products and journeys  

  • Developing data capabilities across products to understand and serve our customers better  

In this role, you will work with both internal and external partners to transform our product and channel journeys will help customers understand what they can sustainably borrow, and create seamless, data-driven customer experiences.

Launched in Sep 2021, YCS now has over 11m registered users, trusting us to be an important part of their financial journey. Our 2025 vision is ambitious; educating and empowering customers with the information and tools at moments of truth. It also leads the way on personalisation and eligibility.


6-Million customers have given us their Income & Expenditure information which we use to create data-led personalised interactions with our brands and spot where we could help customers

What does the role entail?

  • Putting customers first in a team focussed on improving customer experience and redefining the way we assess affordability

  • Working collaboratively with teams in credit risk, platforms, data and products to identify ways to improve customers experience, utilising insights, market trends and to meet regulatory and consumer needs

  • Take ideas from conception to the end-customer, delivering against our goals, unblocking issues and using technology and data to achieve the excellent outcomes

What you'll need

  • Previous experience in product / journey design & using data and technology to help customers

  • Know how to engage and influence across the organisation and externally to make an impact for customers and the business.

  • Experience of delivering against bold plans, analysing performance drivers and acting upon insights, making data-led recommendations
