About This Opportunity

The Business Development team is accountable for delivering improved client outcomes and supporting the sustainable growth of Client Solutions Group’s (CSG) business lines, by increased use of technology, process re-engineering, adopting new ways of working and ensuring an appropriate organisational design. This role is a Director within the team.

We're looking for a motivated and detail-oriented leader to support the MD to establish this new team. You'll be responsible for supporting the development and execution of business opportunities across CSG which will continue to evolve as our Corporate & Institutional Banking (CIB) division executes and develops its growth strategy.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assist in identifying and implementing an optimal organisational structure across CSG to meet the changing needs of our clients and the market we operate in

  • Support in identifying and driving opportunities to simplify journeys for colleagues and clients, through new business origination and in relation to ongoing servicing and management

  • Contribute to building and executing our strategic investment plan, supporting delivery of CIB’s growth ambitions

  • Ensuring our processes and technology continue to evolve to simplify the business, including how we deliver improved client outcomes within the Group’s Platform framework

Success in this role will see the CSG business deliver improved client outcomes and increased revenues whilst maintaining an efficient cost base through efficiencies and automation.

This is a unique opportunity to join a team that understands the needs of the business and support this through enhancements to the ways of working, our technology and infrastructure.

What You’ll Need

We're looking for a leader that has a passion for improving business performance.
Specifically, we’re looking for:

  • Strong understanding of the CIB business, markets we operate in and the clients we serve

  • Proven leadership skills with ability to influence at all levels of the organisation

  • Experience in managing teams and contributing to growing talent

  • Strategic thinker with ability to challenge and drive fundamental changes through influence and building trust

  • Ability to understand and implement new ways of working within a demanding business environment with competing priorities

And any experience of these would be really useful

  • Understanding of the current infrastructure and systems used across CIB

  • External networks providing insight into industry developments
