two days per week, or 40% of our time, at one of our office sites

About this Opportunity

We’re looking to recruit a Senior Manager for the Capital Reporting and Disclosure team to play a leading part in the production of monthly and quarterly capital reporting and external market disclosures for the Group and its UK based banks.

This is a great opportunity focused on a topical area of the bank! The team outputs have a high profile both with internal and external senior people and are regularly presented to senior committees and the Board. Careful delivery of these together with the ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders is a key aspect of the role.

Day to day responsibilities

You’ll be involved in:

  • Leading the delivery of monthly and quarterly capital reporting to the regulator.

  • Inputting into and influencing wider discussions around the external messaging within capital disclosures prepared by the team.

  • Preparing and presenting insightful analysis to support the understanding of key capital ratios for the Group and its banking subsidiaries internally within the team and at key Group committees.

  • Leading team input into internal regulatory change projects and adhoc data monitoring exercises issued by the regulator.

  • Managing and influencing relationships with key contacts across Finance and Risk and our external auditors. This includes internal customers and senior stakeholders.

  • Identifying opportunities, suggesting and implementing improvements to existing business practices ensuring and improving the accuracy and timeliness of information provided.

What you’ll need

An understanding and keen interest in the application of banking regulations and enjoy working with technical concepts; understanding of prudential capital regulations or risk-weighted assets being ideal but not essential.

Accountancy qualified, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent with curiosity, analytical ability and strong technical skills, who enjoys process improvement, working at pace and with ambiguity. 

Ability and confidence at building great relationships with other Group Finance teams, Investor Relations and Risk capital specialists. Someone who will be visible to all key stakeholders, ensure the team’s initiatives and outputs are delivered effectively and efficiently, and seek regular feedback to ensure success.

Enthusiasm and drive, being dedicated to successful delivery and thrive operating in a fast paced and highly visible role, with a real desire to make a difference.

Well organised and able to lead several priorities, being able to communicate clearly on progress and status.
