JOB TITLE: Associate Director- CRE Origination and Structuring, Real Estate and Housing

LOCATION: London

HOURS: Full Time

WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least three days per week, or 60% of your time, at our London office.

Are you a highly motivated, organised individual who is keen to develop their debt structuring skills within the Real Estate client base? If so, we have a great opportunity for an Associate Director to join our team.

We're a market leading provider of commercial real estate finance and our team delivers efficiently structured solutions to domestic and international private equity, insurance, pension, sovereign wealth, family office sponsors and listed companiesas well as privately owned companies, that are tailored to their investment objectives across investment and development facilities.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Work alongside the Structuring Directors and will be tasked with a key support role in the management of relationships across the spectrum of Real Estate clients, working with associates to structure debt transactions from initial information provided to achieve an acceptable level of profit, risk and return in line with agreed business plan
  • Work closely and proactively with the Relationship team to lead origination efforts where required, to generate a pipeline of opportunities through proactive client and target engagement with the Relationship team. This includes helping to pitch for business and developing prospect leads and introductions, as well as handling key existing client relationships
  • Prepare financial models to a high standard, ensuring complete numeric accuracy, appropriate selection of inputs and stress testing. Ensure all risks are identified and fully understood
  • Prepare term sheets to a high standard, ensuring complete accuracy and completeness of structure to mitigate risk to a level reflective of return
  • Assess and structure new business proposals to minimise risks, and prepare high quality Credit / Investment papers for the consideration of internal partners
  • Determine optimum distribution solutions, working with the Real Estate Capital Markets division, in order to maximise returns and deliver best pricing to clients
  • Negotiate commercial terms and conditions of credit facilities after consulting with all relevant internal and external parties and prepare required proposals and lead calls with professionals and clients for non-critical matters in the closing process

What we need from you?

  • Strong excel and financial cashflow modelling skills as well as ability to stress test client business plan projections.
  • Excellent relationship management skills with a proven background working in real estate finance
  • Excellent written skills with the ability to prepare concise and accurate Credit / Investment Committee papers.
  • Ability to manage internal and external customers to deliver to tight client timescales.
