LOCATION(S): Edinburgh, Bristol, Leeds & London

HOURS: Full time

WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time, at one of our office sites.

This exciting opportunity sits within the Modern Workplace Platform, where we’re shaping the future of how colleagues collaborate, connect, and thrive. As a Senior Product Owner, you’ll lead and define approaches to solving technical challenges and translating business needs into impactful digital solutions. You’ll work closely with product and engineering teams to build, support, and continuously improve our workplace technologies—bringing fresh energy to evolving challenges.


You’ll be a key contributor to ensuring high-quality engineering practices are embedded across the platform, aligned with our transformation strategy and focused on delivering value to colleagues

As a Senior Product Owner, you’ll be responsible for releasing incremental value through initiatives that support the Modern Workplace strategy. You’ll ensure teams are focused on the right priorities, foster collaboration, and empower them to take ownership of outcomes. You’ll stimulate innovation while managing risk, using data-driven test-and-learn approaches to shape the future of work.

As a key member of our agile team within Modern Workplace, you will:

  • Be Future focused, able to communicate positions that align with the overall Group Strategy. Finds solutions, not problems. An early adopter of change and drives transformation at pace with a growth mindset. Works with integrity and promotes a collaborative and inclusive environment.

  • Shape vision and strategy to solve complex customer and business challenges in collaboration with stakeholders.

  • Define and refine OKRs at lab or team level, using performance data to track benefits realisation.

  • Set iteration goals aligned with customer needs and business priorities.

  • Collaborate with Journey Managers to analyse user stories and assess customer impact.

  • Develop and maintain product roadmaps that align with strategic objectives.

  • Support agile ceremonies, including Iteration Reviews and planning sessions.

  • Act as an escalation point for backlog-related issues and ensure timely resolution.

  • Identify and mitigate critical risks, including strategic themes and country readiness.

  • Manage dependencies across teams, tribes, functions, and external suppliers.

  • Lead technical design discussions with engineering teams to ensure scalable solutions.

  • Support delivery through prioritisation, financial analysis, and informed decision-making.

  • Define segmentation and supplier strategies to optimise delivery and value.

  • Oversee technical activities, including environment planning and readiness.

What you’ll need

  • Product Ownership: Proven experience in product ownership, technical delivery, or agile leadership roles. Capable of using varied experience to plan and manage budget resources; anticipates delivery of great products that continuously create value.

  • Influencing: Strong personal influence and relationship-building skills effectively when working with others inside/outside the immediate team; ability to build trust and resolve conflicts.

  • Leadership: Builds and leads a high-performance team, demonstrating the ability to adapt leadership style to drive the best outcomes. Role models developing new skills that enable personal, team and business development. Creates an inclusive culture where everyone feel valued, regardless of their background.

  • Stakeholder Management: strong stakeholder management and communication skills at senior levels, internally and externally

  • Technical: Technical understanding to engage in design discussions and support engineering delivery

  • Agile: Experience of developing and delivering change management plans and achieving outcomes through the application of agile methodologies, with significant experience with agile development methods & tooling e.g. Scrum, Kanban, Jira & Confluence, and experience of leading & working as part of an agile team.

Additional Skills

  • Knowledge of workplace technologies. AI and IWFM systems

  • Experience working with technical and cross-functional teams to deliver change.

  • Experience of defining a customer-focused strategy and aligning team objectives to deliver against it.

  • Experience tackling complex problems and breaking them out into a roadmap of viable solutions.

  • Experience of financial planning and cost control: a track record of delivering within budget and using resources effectively.
