JOB TITLE: Risk & Control Enablement Manager

SALARY: The salary banding for this role is £59,850 - £66,500

LOCATION: Bristol, Halifax, or Leeds

HOURS: 35 hours, full time

WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time, at one of our office sites.

About this opportunity

Here in Colleague Success, there is an exciting opportunity focused on supporting our function to modernise our approach to Risk & Control management in line with the Group’s Resetting Risk and Control Automation agenda. This is a key role within the Transformation & Enablement team, which will work directly with the Colleague Success Director and Senior Leadership Team to provide insightful analysis and evaluation of the risk & control environment to keep our services, business and colleagues safe.

What you’ll need

Crafting Risk & Control Frameworks: skilled in crafting and deploying strong operational risk and control structures within HR shared services. This includes identifying risks, defining controls, and ensuring compliance with internal and external standards.


Control Practitioner: experience in developing, implementing, testing and monitoring control strategies and a strong ability to execute testing of control design and operating effectiveness of constrols.
Data & Analytics: ability to interpret different sources of data and complex information to effectively problem solve and able to develop appropriate analytical processes for control performance reporting to make relevant conclusions and recommendations across the control environment.


Clear Reporting: expertise in creating effective reporting on the performance and progression of automation, compliance and optimisation across the environment. 


Great Influencing: being able to support CS and platform senior leadership through acting as a control management business partner, bringing energy and charisma to the leadership setting whilst using effective communication to foster partnerships and work collaboratively with others to deliver shared objectives.


Control Automation & Optimisation: experience in Identifying opportunities to automate and optimise control landscapes, agreement and delivery of embedding control by design.
